Echo 03:57
I may not have the answer To what makes a star shine I’m not some graceful dancer But you can bet that I ‘m trying I Just wanna show you What it‘s like here where I stand If you would just see me through You may find out who I am And it sort of feels like this: I’m dissolving I’m dissolving in an echo Right here And I’m shining I am lucid in a bright light Right now I have a universe inside me And you ask me which side I’m on I want you to turn me inside out To let you see that I am nowhere at all And you’d finally see that I’m dissolving I’m dissolving in an echo Right here And I’m shining I am lucid in a bright light Right now

No Use 03:24
Have we lost our minds? Or is it really getting better after this stormy weather? Have we lost our faith in our gods? Or is it really getting better? In the end these gods do not matter. And there’s really no use for fights no more I’m getting sick and tired of it all. And there’s really no use for fights at all. I get more confused every day. Now it is really getting to me. Am I awake or is this lucid dreaming? All these pictures on bright screens have stopped to look real to me. Behind the facade there’s so much more you can see. Guess what? This is your reality. And there’s really no use for facts no more I’m getting sick and tired of them all And there’s really no use for facts at all And there’s really no use for this no more I’m getting sick and tired of it all And there’s really no use for this no more

OneOldSix 04:31
You’ve stopped to grow And it goes to show The lack of time A sandglass that is running down Born into fire Fanning the flames Driven by surreal desires There’s a price you got to pay Have you ever thought it’s hard to stay involved when no one seems to care what you care about? They want you to follow You gonna be the sheep that likes to dream in its sleep You better stay a creep acting different indeed All you do is follow The world is spinning round and round but your thoughts are upside down You follow the rules that are made by fools And pathetic self-appointed rulers Have you ever thought it’s hard to stay involved when no one seems to care what you care about? They want you to follow You think your shit is deep and you know what you need And then you realise while walking on your own feet that All you do is follow

You never have the need to be sorry Some dark things lying under your bed You can always make the worst out of nothing How could you ever be prepared? And there we go falling by the wayside While there’s no hope for you There’s certainty in me Coming from the darkest night Seeing the morning sun A new morning sun Wash away the sins in this stream of light In the morning sun A new morning sun Visualizing a wish list lack is permanent You need a new car and and the girls and the sex And a picture that represents you Illusionary nightmares You want to regain control You need to be whole Coming from the darkest night Seeing the morning sun A new morning sun Wash away the sins in this stream of light In the morning sun A new morning sun Lay down your sword and sharpen your tongue You’ve got eyes to bring light to those who are dead inside

Nightfall 04:58
Alone White sheets cover all that’s left What once shone like the sun Shall shine once again Don’t fear the darkness that’s to come Nightfall Don’t fear what’s to come Black earth covers all that’s gone What once shone like the sun Will shine once again
6.
Ad Repeatum 05:54
Being what I have become I am having fun Life has just begun You’re a mirror that stands before My ocean shore You know I adore you Come through that open door You’ve been here before See what we’ve become I won’t let that fade away There were times like these and days like that That we’ve been getting through That led to where we are Reflecting what we are Flying to the stars Playing the guitar Journeys. Traveling round the sun And becoming one See what we will be Visions of Utopia And there seems to be no time and space But we’ve been traveling through it I’m coming home
7.
Cut The Rope 04:32
You’re having a hard time while you’re trying to let it go But you ought to know it’s hard to sail against the wind, let it flow It’s not meant to be… You’ll never get there Try to let it go Dance and close your eyes you’re gonna be alright A whisper tells you what to be and what you’ve always been It’s not meant to be…. I got to cut the rope

Heart beats fast It’s hard to be brave How can I love When I am afraid Make me strong Where I used to be weak Pull out all this pain When it’s truth that you seek All over town I feel that you’re not around Walking up those stairs To find there’s no one there You made me strong But I want to be weak I used to be fun Now you see me run Over the ground Hoping not to be found But I’ll be coming home To where I belong I can feel it it my bones It will be for real
9.
On your marks get set lets go Light my mouth on fire tonight If you wanna make me feel alright Watch my moves see me burn Taking on the heat without any concern Be with us No matter who you are The music is playing loud Till the end of the night Now clap your hands And hold me tight Sway me all over the dancefloor tonight If you’re worried what the others may think Let me get you another drink Be with us No matter who you are Let me give my love to you Till you feel that We’re alive In the place of our retreat Protected from whats outside Flowers in your hair Glitter everywhere We are not to be found On your marks get set lets go Play with your eyes Ask somebody out How can you fail when you’ve got such a nice hairline You look good tonight We’re alive In the place of our retreat Protected from whats outside Flowers in your hair Glitter everywhere We are not to be found On your marks get set lets go

about

Do you ever feel like leaving this planet behind, if only for a moment? Delve into space and let all your troubles disappear behind the infinite curtain of stars? It is exactly this desire that was captured in the Bands first full-length Album “Œ”. The entire Album relays what New Polarities embody: To step outside of yourself, journey beyond the real and enter the possible while never entirely breaking free from that anker that so cruelly grips our inner most being. For what can we be beyond the here if not rooted to our deepest thoughts, to how we feel and love?
This first Album seems to compose a contradiction in itself. The Lyrics muster an almost intellectual seriousness, confronting a world with deeply philosophical questions about what it means to be human and our relationships to one another. The music on the other hand, leads us astray into an almost dream-like sphere that is freed of such earthly concerns. It is, however, exactly this contradiction that the five bandmembers Vision of “Œ” aim to address: A Humanity that is paradoxical. Therefore, while we search for who and how we are and want to be, this search for Identity is not necessarily coupled to the continuing seriousness of what is perceived to be the reality out there. But it can be found in the smallest of moments in between, where we can simply drift off, feel and dance.
